Installation Guide

Tools recommended for installation, make sure always use wood glue to install the furniture.

Hardware for the product: Wood Dowels, Cam Locks, Cam Lock Pins, 2" Screws, Black Screws(or 1 1/4" drywall screws), Small Screws

Check all boards before installation:
(from left) 10 Bottom Shelf Boards, 5 Top Vertical Boards, 9 Top Horizontal Shelf Boards

(from left) 2 Top Vertical Boards with 6 slots, 2 Top Vertical Boards with 3 slots

4 Bottom Vertical Boards,

(from top) 1 Top Horizontal Board (no holes on one side), 1 Middle Horizontal Board (rough edge on one side), 1 Bottom Horizontal Board, 2 Toe Kick Boards

(from left) 1 Backboard, 2 Side Boards (left & right)

drop wood glue in the holes for wood dowels on the end of the Top Vertical Boards

Warning: It is important to use glue to secure the furniture.

glue and hammer wood dowels on Top Vertical Boards (with 3 slots)

make sure the wood dowels are all the way in the holes

Warning: Make sure to hammer the wood dowels all the way into the vertical boards, (leaving about 3/8” out), to avoid damaging the horizontal boards.
* Learningground is not liable if the installer misses this step.

glue and hammer wood dowels on Top Vertical Boards (with 6 slots)

do the same on the other end of all Top Vertical Boards

lay the Top Horizontal Board (no holes on one side) with the slots side up, on a table of smooth solid surface. make sure the slot for the Backboard is in the back.

Warning: never hammer wood dowels directly on horizontal boards, to avoid damaging the board from other side.

put the glue in the middle rows of holes

There is no need to install the Cam Lock Pins on this board.

Warning: It is important to use glue to secure the furniture.

hand push the Top Vertical Boards on the Top Horizontal Board

make sure the smooth edges of the boards are facing out.

pay attention to the number of slots on two ends of the board

Top Vertical Boards with 6 slots is on the right

Top Vertical Boards with 3 slots is on the left

make sure the rough side is lined up with the slot at the back

insert Top Vertical Shelf Boards in the slots

put glue in the middle rows of the Middle Horizontal Board (rough edge on the backside) , and hand push it on the Top Vertical Boards.

Adjust the Top Vertical Shelf Boards in the slots

Hand push the wood dowels inside the Middle Horizontal Board

it looks like this

install 2" Screws

fasten 2" Screws with a power drill

or with the wrench provided

install Black Screws or any 1 1/4" drywall screws

make sure the Black Screws line up the predrilled holes on Top Vertical Boards

fasten the Black Screws

Put glue in the Wood Dowel holes

install Cam Lock Pins

fasten Cam Lock Pins with a screwdriver

install the Bottom Vertical Boards, make sure the smooth size is facing outside

Pay attention that the Cam Locks are facing left and right side

secure the boards with Cam Locks with a screwdriver.

for safety, glue the Cam Locks to the board (including the decorative Cam Locks on Top Vertical Boards), to prevent them getting loose in the future.

Warning: It is the installer's responsibility for the safety of installing hardware.

install the board on top of Bottom Vertical Board

Hand push to line up the wood dowel holes

install 2" Screws

fasten 2" Screws with a power drill

or with the wrench provided

put glue and wood dowels on the Toe Kick Boards

glue the holes for Wood Dowels

hammer the Wood Dowels all the way in

glue the holes for Wood Dowels on the Bottom Vertical Board

install the Toe Kick Boards and make sure the logo is in front of the furniture

Warning: Wait at least One Hour to let the glue dry.

slide the installed furniture on the floor slowly and turn the furniture side way

glue the wood dowel holes

install Wood Dowels

hammer the Wood Dowels all the way in

choose the left Side Board

put the glue in the holes

line up Side Board in the holes of the Wood Dowels

pound the board in gently with hand or mallet

install 2" Screws

fasten 2" Screws

install the Bottom Shelf Boards by gently push/pad the boards into the slots

make sure the smooth edges are facing outside

rotate the furniture to the other side

rotate from the bottom side...

...until the other side is up

install Bottom Shelf Boards from backside
make sure the rough edges face backside

install the Back Board

make sure the holes on the Back Board line up with the front shelf boards (no holes showing)

push the Back Board all the way in the slots

glue the holes for Wood Dowels

install Wood Dowels

hammer the Wood Dowels in

install the right Side Board

glue the wood dowel holes

line up the right Side Board to the Wood Dowels and back board slot

hand push/pound the board in place

install 2" Screws

fasten 2" Screws

install the Bottom Shelf Boards by gently push/pad the boards into the slots

make sure the smooth edges are facing outside

Turn the furniture to the right way

secure the Backboard with Small Screws by following the pre-drilled holes

insert all Top Horizontal Shelf Boards

finished look
